Microneedling

What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment designed to enhance the production of new collagen and release natural growth. SkinPen® is the very first FDA-cleared microneedling device. This process fosters new skin cell growth. Treatment recommendation is a series of three treatments 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Microneedling can be combined with PRP and/or Growth Factors for enhanced results and healing.

What does Microneedling treat?
Microneedling helps treat the appearance of acne scars, sun damage, melasma, large pore size, textural concerns, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles. Microneedling can also be used to help treat hair loss through the use of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).

What to expect and what is the recovery?
After the consultation and treatment plan are discussed with your provider, the provider will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for 25 minutes. After the client has achieved desired numbness, the provider will make passes across the treatment area with the skin pen using a glide. There are different options for glides to be used which your provider will discuss with you. The total procedure takes about 40 minutes.

Immediately post-procedure the skin will have moderate redness and feel tight. No makeup can be worn for the first 24 hours. Following the first 24 hours, there will be a diminishing appearance of mild to moderate sunburn on the treatment area and you can resume your normal makeup routine.

How long does it last?
There is no expiration of SkinPen® results. SkinPen® is designed to activate the skin’s natural healing process through inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling to leave skin more smooth, radiant, and younger-looking.
