PRP HAIR RESTORATION

What is PRP Hair Restoration?
Platelet Rich Plasma Hair Restoration is a form of regenerative medicine that utilizes the high concentrations of rich growth factor platelets to stimulate the stem cells around your targeted hair follicles. This causes the hair follicles that had previous been inactive or slowed to promote healing, accelerate the regeneration and formation of new cellular growth.

What to expect and what is the recovery?
The PRP procedure is a small blood draw from the client similar to getting labwork drawn. After the blood is drawn and spun down in the centrifuge, the PRP is injected back into the scalp in small doses all over the treatment area. Recovery is minimal due to injecting the clients own blood back into them. It is recommended that clients stay out of the sun for 2-3 days and avoid strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours. The client may notice some mild swelling, redness, and tenderness to the treatment area for the first 24-48 hours.

What does the treatment plan look like?
The treatment plan is an initial series of 6 treatments over the course of 8 months. We recommend a treatment on months 1,2,3,5,6, and 8. We strongly recommend use of the over the counter medication, Minoxidil, and certain vitamins during this time as they work synergistically and give the best hair growth outcome.

How long does it take to see results?
Results vary from each client. Most clients should see positive results 3 months post treatment. PRP regenerative medicine has been used for over 20 years in orthopaedic medicine, sports medicine, neurosurgical medicine, and aesthetics and plastic surgery. Long terms clinical studies are currently being completed. However, the preliminary results of these studies are optimistic.
