What does microneedling treat?
Microneedling improves a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, large pores, skin laxity, and overall skin quality. It can also be used alongside PRP to support hair restoration.
What should I expect during treatment and recovery?
Your treatment begins with a consultation to evaluate your skin and build a personalized plan. A topical numbing cream is applied 30 to 45 minutes prior to treatment to ensure comfort. Once the skin is prepared, the SkinPen® device is used to create controlled microchannels across the treatment area. Pro-Nox™ may be offered for additional comfort — a patient-controlled inhaled analgesia system using a blend of nitrous oxide and oxygen, allowing you to manage discomfort during the treatment while remaining fully awake and in control.
Immediately after treatment, redness and a sunburn-like sensation are expected. Peeling is normal as the skin renews, and mild bruising can occasionally occur. Makeup can be worn after 24 hours, and most normal activities can be resumed shortly after.
How many treatments will I need?
A series of 3 treatments spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results. Ongoing skin improvements will continue for 3 to 6 months after your final treatment as collagen production and remodeling continues.
