Lumecca
Intense Pulsed Light
Brighten. Even. Restore.
Sun damage, pigmentation, and uneven tone can make skin look older than it feels. Lumecca™ is an advanced intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment on the InMode Optimas platform designed to improve overall skin clarity and restore a more even, radiant complexion. By delivering targeted light energy into the skin, Lumecca works to break up unwanted pigment and reduce redness while supporting healthier-looking skin over time.
Our platform features both 515 nm and 580 nm filters, allowing us to more precisely customize your treatment based on your specific skin concerns. This added level of control helps us effectively target both pigmentation and vascular irregularities while maintaining a safe, comfortable treatment experience.
Lumecca is ideal for patients who are noticing sun damage, dark spots, redness, or overall uneven tone and are looking for a non-invasive way to improve their skin. It is commonly used on the face, neck, chest, and hands to help brighten, even, and refresh the complexion with minimal downtime.
Clearer skin doesn’t come from covering it up. It comes from correcting it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Lumecca treat?
Lumecca targets concerns like sun damage, age spots, freckles, redness, rosacea, and overall uneven skin tone. It helps improve clarity and brightness in areas that are frequently exposed to the sun.
How is Lumecca different from other IPL treatments?
Lumecca delivers higher peak energy than traditional IPL, allowing for more effective treatment of pigment and redness in fewer sessions. With both 515 nm and 580 nm filters, treatments can be more precisely tailored to your specific skin concerns.
What is treatment like and what should I expect after?
Treatments are quick and well tolerated. You may feel a brief snapping sensation as the light is delivered to the skin. Pro-Nox® is available to help make your experience more comfortable if needed. After treatment, pigmented areas will temporarily darken before naturally flaking off over the next several days. Redness and warmth similar to a mild sunburn is common right after and typically resolves quickly.
How many treatments will I need?
Many patients notice improvement after just one session, but a series of 1–3 treatments spaced about 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results. Your plan is always customized based on your skin and goals.
Is there downtime?
There is little to no true downtime. You may experience temporary redness and darkening of pigmented areas, but most patients return to normal activities right away. Makeup can typically be worn the same day.
Who is a good candidate?
Lumecca is best suited for patients with lighter skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III) who are looking to improve sun damage, redness, or uneven tone. The best place to start is with a consultation so we can determine if this is the right treatment for your skin.
How long do results last?
Results can be long-lasting with proper skincare and consistent sun protection. Because new sun damage can develop over time, maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve your results.
